To feed a growing population we need to cooperate across borders. By sharing knowledge and innovations, we boost food production, create jobs and income, and improve livelihoods of people all over the world.

To achieve the international climate goals set out in the 2015 Paris Agreement, the world is undergoing a profound energy transition. The Netherlands aims to reduce its emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) to net zero by 2050. And together with like-minded European countries, we have successfully achieved that the EU raise its interim target to a 55-percent reduction by 2030.

Since the early years of industrialisation, life expectancy has drastically increased in some parts of the world. Health gaps between the lowest and highest socioeconomic groups have become more appar­ent. Fast forward 200 years and these inequalities still exist between people living in different parts of the world.
