Greater Bangkok Programme

The Greater Bangkok programme is a collaborative initiative between Thailand and the Netherlands aimed at building a climate-resilient and water secure future. This public-private partnership unites Dutch innovation and expertise with Thailand’s ambition to address pressing water challenges, from urban flooding and water scarcity to inclusive and adaptive water management.

Through joint efforts in knowledge exchange, pilot projects, and integrated planning, the programme supports sustainable, locally relevant solutions. Whether it is restoring urban waterways or strengthening infrastructure, the focus is on long-term impact through smart, collaborative approaches.

Working together, we can shape a more resilient water future for all.

Together towards a water secure tomorrow!

Thailand Water

A broad-based, high-level Thai delegation visited the Netherlands for a five-day Knowledge Week under the Partners for International Business (PIB) – Greater Bangkok programme. In collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and in co-creation with Partners for Water and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Watermanagement, the exchange brought together senior government representatives, academic institutions and international partners to explore integrated water management in practice and strengthen long-term Thai-Dutch cooperation.
