Colombia and the Netherlands have a long-standing partnership in the agricultural sector and share the ambition to develop a more sustainable and competitive agri-food sector. With 200 years of diplomatic relations, both countries have built strong economic ties. Colombia is a growing producer and exporter of agricultural products, while the Netherlands brings internationally recognized expertise in agricultural technology and supply chain development.

Building on this relationship, a Dutch delegation will visit Colombia to explore business opportunities in the avocado sector. The mission brings together companies, research institutions, and other organizations with expertise in precision agriculture, digital monitoring, post-harvest technology, quality management, and logistics. By participating in Territorio Aguacate, the delegation aims to align Dutch expertise with the needs and ambitions of the Colombian avocado industry.

By bringing companies and knowledge partners together, the mission aims to exchange expertise, drive innovation, and develop lasting trade relationships. We look forward to meeting Colombian producers, companies, and other stakeholders to explore how Dutch and Colombian expertise can contribute to a more efficient and resilient avocado value chain.
