At the 2025 P4G Vietnam Summit, over 800 leaders from governments, businesses, multilateral institutions, and civil society gathered under the theme “Sustainable and People-Centred Green Transition” to unlock scalable climate solutions and drive green investment. The event not only showcased groundbreaking innovations but also emphasised that partnership and collaboration are essential to meet global climate goals.
Hosted by the Government of Vietnam, the two-day summit delivers a powerful message: a just transition depends on community-led public–private collaborations. H.E. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, opened with the need for comprehensive national planning, bold public sector leadership and private sector involvement to scale green growth, noting Vietnam's commitment to integrating the green transition into its national development strategy.
Funding and technical assistance
P4G announced $4.7 million in grant funding and technical assistance for 17 startup partnerships across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, demonstrating a tangible commitment to supporting innovative climate solutions.
Dynamic startup engagement
Over 70 climate startups pitched their business models to a panel of international investors and policy makers, emphasising the critical role that agile, innovative businesses play in mobilising private investment for national climate goals.
Strategic financial commitments
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Republic of Korea, committing $1.8 million, and other public-private engagements underscored the summit’s focus on leveraging global partnerships to bridge the climate finance gap.
“The summit was a clarion call for countries to invest in climate innovation and design strong policies that support climate startups.”
Robyn McGuckin, Executive Director of P4G

As a partner and key donor of P4G, the Netherlands is closely linked to the theme of this year's Summit: "Sustainable and People-Centred Green Transition". The Dutch Diamond Approach, which brings together government, companies, civil society organisations and knowledge institutions, emphasises that public-private partnership is essential for promoting both economic growth and sustainable development. This was highlighted in Prime Minister Dick Schoof's video message during the High-level Plenary Session.
All 10 partnerships with Dutch connection were present in Hanoi during the summit. During the ministerial panel “Revitalising and Unleashing Finance Strategy for Global Green Growth”, the Netherlands emphasised the crucial role of the private sector in the green transition through innovation, investment and the ability to scale up.
The P4G Dutch National Platform is administered by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, operating under the auspices of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. Its activities are commissioned by the various Dutch ministries and the European Union.
