SargassumNL Mexico

This Partners in International Business (PIB) between the Netherlands and Mexico aims to accelerate the development of circular, science-based, and operationally scalable solutions for the recurring sargassum influx in Mexico. The SargassumNL cluster is connected by a shared ambition to enhance coastal resilience and ocean health. We would like to contribute to turning a crisis into an abundant resource and sustainable business models. We are a public-private consortium that brings together organisations to deliver a value chain solution, a multi-stakeholder approach, with decades of expertise in sustainability. As a maritime nation with extensive experience both offshore, nearshore, and costal management, the Netherlands is keen to contribute to solutions for this unprecedented global challenge.
